Our favorite sandy beaches across the US. What are yours? - OLITA

Our favorite sandy beaches across the US. What are yours?

Everyone loves a good sandy beach where you can lay your towel down and relax, but when it comes time to go, it’s not fun to get that pesky sand off your feet. It seems like sand almost never comes out of your car, so leave the sand at the beach with Olita Beach Be Gone body powder. Our revolutionary powder gets the sand off your feet, legs, arms, hands - and skin anywhere - with just a couple shakes. We sell it in a variety of exotic scents, including one for kids. Check out some of our favorite sandy beaches across the US and don’t forget Beach Be Gone. It’s the best substitute for the outdoor showers!

We start out with our favorite spots in our own backyard - the beaches of Marin County.

Limantour

On the remote Point Reyes coast lies this long, white sand beach. Perfect for bonfires and BBQs, Limantour beach is one of the nicest in Marin County. It might be a little bit of a trek, especially with it being an hour north of San Francisco, but there are plenty of places to stop along the way. Stop in Point Reyes Station for some Cowgirl Creamery cheese, or stay at a nearby bed and breakfast.

Stinson

Just north of San Francisco and to the west of Marin County’s Mount Tamalpais, lays Stinson and Bolinas beaches. A long crescent-shaped strip of white sand lays between Bolinas Lagoon and the Pacific Ocean. The drive to the beach is almost as good as the white-sand, cliffside beach itself. A winding road through redwoods and along the cliffs of Highway 1 shows you sweeping views of the coast. There is a small town next to Stinson, complete with a few shops, restaurants, and bed and breakfasts. The exclusive Seadrift gated community houses some of the best houses in Stinson, with either beach or lagoon access. Sometimes popular with surfers, this beach will not disappoint. Just make sure to check the weather before you go, if you want to stay out of the cold Nor Cal fog.
